ACMS Workshop on Movement Building for Migrant Rights in South Africa
[WORKSHOP] – The African Centre for Migration & Society (ACMS) recently hosted its third deliberative workshop in Cape Town on 2nd October, bringing together key civil society stakeholders to explore strategies for building a movement for migrant rights in South Africa.
At a time of rising public and institutional anti-migrant mobilisation, these workshops provide a much-needed safe space for strategic engagement and critical deliberation.
The goal? To reimagine approaches and strengthen collective strategies that enhance the protection of migrant rights in South Africa.
It’s challenging, hard work but essential for meaningful movement building and lasting social change.
