RRO Litigation & Advocacy Strategies Dialogue

Sonke Gender Justice Hosted a meeting on Refugee Reception Offices (RRO) Litigation & Advocacy Strategies Dialogue.

The dialogue took place on the 2nd & 3rd of April 2019 in Cape Town. The meeting, which was hosted by Sonke Gender justice brought together different stakeholders to reflect on the Refugee Reception Office & litigation and advocacy strategies that can be used to come up with a unified way forward of dealing with government response. Participants also discussed possible xenophobic violence responses in the event of outbreaks leading up to the elections. Xenowatch shared with participants the strategies we are working on to serve as an early warning and xenophobic violence prevention platform.
