Trust Building Dialogue

At the Trust Building Dialogue organised by The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) that took place on 10 February 2026 in Mayfair, Johannesburg, Xenowatch’s Research Assistant, Rea Maputla, presented on ‘Migrant Realities & Lived Experiences’. Her presentation focused on sharing data, experiences, humanising migration, and challenging stereotypes.

The event featured key partners including CoRMSA, ProBono, the Outreach Foundation and the Centre for HIV-AIDS, who covered topics from trauma, xenophobic discrimination, and legal rights to safety risks and access to services. Xenowatch is a project under the African Centre for Migration and Society (ACMS) at University of the Witwatersrand.
